Homeopathic Dilution Sets - Either 6X or 30C Available:
Each of these sets are offered either as a 30C or a 6X dilution. However, please take note that some of the remedies in the set containing the 6X remedies won’t be a 6X but they ARE as low as Boiron is allowed to make these formulas. So, for example, some of the remedies in the 6X set will be a 7X, or 12X or even a 30X.
A 6X homeopathic dilution is less diluted (stronger in material substance) than a 30C dilution — but in homeopathy, “stronger” doesn't mean more powerful in the traditional pharmacological sense.
Here’s a breakdown:
💧 Homeopathic Dilution Systems:
X scale (also called the decimal scale): each step is a 1:10 dilution.
So, 6X = 1 part original substance diluted with 9 parts solution, repeated 6 times.
C scale (centesimal scale): each step is a 1:100 dilution.
So, 30C = 1 part original substance diluted with 99 parts solution, repeated 30 times.
What This Means:
6X still contains more molecules of the original substance. It can be used to make MORE homeopathic remedies from it. (You can dilute these out, as explained in my homeopathy book.)
30C is so dilute that it's unlikely any molecules of the original substance remain (beyond Avogadro’s number).
In Practice:
6X is used more for physical symptoms and has a more material presence.
30C is used more for energetic or emotional imbalances and is considered stronger energetically in classical homeopathy. 30C is the most commonly used strength in homeopathy.
